A New Era in Boxcar Door Production
Jaxon acquired the rights to the YSD Industries aftermarket boxcar door and component lines in October 2021. Including the YSD line, Jaxon also has acquired the Railcar Specialties and Chief door product lines.
Since the acquisition Jaxon has invested significantly in new equipment and summer 2024 will be constructing a new 30,000 ft^2 building for the production of boxcar doors and components in Mineral Ridge, Ohio. This new facility should be open by early 2025.
In addition to providing replacement plug and sliding boxcar doors, Jaxon can supply the door and carside components for these doors. Including, but not limited to:
Connection pipe assemblies
Operating mechanisms
Rollers
Gaskets
