Boxcar Doors

Jaxon acquired the rights to the YSD Industries aftermarket boxcar door and component lines in October 2021. Including the YSD line, Jaxon also has acquired the Railcar Specialties and Chief door product lines.

Since these acquisitions, Jaxon has made significant investments in new equipment, technology, and expanded manufacturing capabilities. In the summer of 2025, Jaxon further expanded its Mineral Ridge, Ohio, campus with the addition of a 30,000-square-foot facility dedicated to the production of boxcar doors and components. This expansion provides additional manufacturing capacity to support Jaxon's growing line of replacement boxcar doors, related components, and other railcar products.

In addition to supplying replacement plug and sliding doors, Jaxon offers a comprehensive range of associated boxcar door car side components, including, but not limited to, door tracks, track brackets, top retainers, front stops and back stops.

Beyond boxcar doors and their associated components, Jaxon's extensive fabrication capabilities allow us to manufacture and supply a wide variety of additional railcar components, including side sheets, side posts, end stiffeners, ladders, and other structural and fabricated parts. With our expanded manufacturing capacity and equipment, Jaxon is well-positioned to support both individual replacement part requirements and larger production programs, providing customers with a reliable source for a broad range of railcar components.
